Zionsville Community Schools Board of Trustees says ‘yes’ to reorganization

At this evening’s Zionsville Community Schools Board of Trustees meeting, the board unanimously endorsed the reorganization of Zionsville with Perry Township.

This comes after last week’s verdict from Boone County Judge Rebecca McClure who announced her decision in the debate between the neighboring communities of Whitestown and Zionsville.

McClure stated that Zionsville and Perry Township can not be reorganized as one town.

“We are reviewing the decision,” stated Zionsville Town Council President Jeff Papa in an e-mail to Current last week. “But [we]feel confident about our position on appeal.”

So far, the reorganization will remain on the Nov. 4 ballot.
