Members attending the Hamilton County Retired Teachers’ Association (HCRTA) Fall Luncheon, held October 16, 2014 at the Red Bridge Park, Cicero, were treated to a visit and presentation by local Riley impressionist, Danny Russel. Mr. Russel is well-known for his James Whitcomb Riley and President Abraham Lincoln personifications at many events including CarmelFest, the Indiana State Fair, State Museum and other venues. The lively performance of Mr. Riley was punctuated by agile acrobatics to accompany the nonsense frog poem and amazing recitations of many famous poems including The Raggedy Man and Little Orphant Annie. Mr. Russel entertained Riley questions from the audience following his performance and also shared anecdotes of little-known Riley facts.

The Hamilton County Chapter of HCRTA is comprised of retired teachers and educators living in Hamilton County. There are over 100 current members and information on programs and membership is available at www.INHCRTA.weebly.com
