Today, Nov. 17, the flags are lowered in memorial of Peter Kassig, the Indianapolis-native who was beheaded by ISIS.
White House officials confirmed Sunday that the video of Kassig’s beheading was, in fact, real.
Kassig was an aide worker in Syria at the time of his kidnapping more than a year ago. He was a graduate of Butler University.
