Suzanne McCracken Hughey, 69, of Carmel, passed away Jan. 7. She was born on March 28, 1945 in Indianapolis to Howard and Deborah McCracken.
Suzanne had been employed with Carter Veterinary in Carmel for more than twenty years. As a result of working with animals, Suzanne rescued Ziva, her pet poodle, whom she loved dearly.
Suzanne was preceded in death by her mother, Deborah Thomas McCracken and husband, Donald Paul Hughey.
Survivors include her father, Howard McCracken; children, Deborah (Jeff) Riley, Mathew and Jason Hughey; grandsons, Keenan, Griffen and Cooper Riley; sisters, Carol McCracken, Julie (Bob) Modesto, Sally (Jim) O’Neal, Nancy (Lou) Ruwett and brother, Scott (Jackie) McCracken.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to Northview Church or The V Cancer Foundation. Envelopes will be available at the church.
