Megan Wiles is the first candidate to file the new Noblesville Common Council District 6 seat, which serves residents of the east side of the city. As a long-time resident of Noblesville, and particularly the east side of the community, Wiles has been active in numerous organizations and now wants to continue by serving on the Council.

“I have been fortunate to live in Noblesville the majority of my life,” Wiles stated. “I have had the opportunity to participate in our community in various roles. When approached about seeking this office, I was immediately intrigued about the potential of serving the residents of this new district for Noblesville.”

Wiles is a stay at home mom with two children, Garrett and Grace, who attend Noblesville East Middle School. She served as president of Legacy Fund, the Community Foundation for Hamilton County for more than eight years prior to “retiring” and has continued to be involved with a number of organizations.

“Noblesville is a wonderful place to live, and as our city grows, it is the council’s responsibility to ensure that we are growing in a way that is best, not only for our current residents and businesses, but always keeping in mind what is best for the future of our community”, Wiles said. “I feel blessed to have grown up in Noblesville, to experience its phenomenal growth and expansion. I am excited about our city’s future.”

Wiles is a graduate of Noblesville High School and Ball State University. She and husband, Greg, moved back to Noblesville in 1998 and were surrounded by corn fields and knew that development was coming.

“As the east side of Noblesville continues to grow, I am keenly aware of the sensitivity to its development and growth,” she said. “Working with the mayor, council members and staff, I am looking forward to the expansion of our parks system with the Midland Trace Trail and the future construction of Eastside Park, the continued growth and development of the Corporate Campus, while keeping our small town feel and highlighting our beautiful downtown. Noblesville has so many assets in our community that we need to continue to enhance, promote and enjoy daily.”

Wiles is a member of the Noblesville Schools High Ability Broad Based Planning Committee, serves on the executive board and programming committee for the President’s Roundtable and is a member of the Susan G. Komen grant review committee. She has served as Apple Store Chairwoman and president of the Conner Prairie Alliance, the organization that operates the Apple Store at Conner Prairie each fall.

“I think my past work experience and volunteer involvement will be a benefit to the council,” she said.
