Manicure first aid – Need to hide the base of a manicure that’s grown out? Use a glittery top coat to create an ombre effect at the base of the nails. Glitter can also be used to hide chips or flaws in your polish.

Soft cookies – To keep your home baked cookies soft, place an apple wedge or slice of bread in the container with them. The cookies will absorb some of the moisture from the apple or bread and stay soft longer.

Perfect eggs – Next time you’re frying eggs, try this to keep the egg from running all over the pan. Cut a slice off a large onion. Take one of the onion rings and put it into a hot, greased pan. Then crack an egg into the ring. You will end up with a perfectly round sunny side up egg.

Cheap bed rail – To keep youngsters from falling out of bed at night, there’s no need to buy an expensive bed rail. Tuck a pool noodle under the fitted sheet to create a raised edge along the side of the bed.
