Earlier today, an Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officer was charged with operating while intoxicated in Hamilton County.
According to a Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office report, a deputy first came into contact with Christopher M. White, 32, Noblesville, in the 12800 block of Brooks School Road in Fishers shortly before 3 a.m.
The deputy observed White’s car weaving and crossing traffic lines. During a traffic stop, the deputy conducted field sobriety tests and detained White for a certified chemical test. The certified test showed White’s alcohol level at 0.182, more than twice the legal limit of 0.08.
White was driving a personally owned vehicle, not an IMPD car, at the time of the stop.
He was booked into the Hamilton County Jail at 3:54 a.m. on initial charges of Operating While Intoxicated and Operating While Intoxicated Endangerment, both misdemeanor charges, with a bond of $2,500.
