Summer Indulgence, a month-long tasting event, has kicked off at Vom Fass.
The store, located in Hamilton Town Center, is a unique specialty food store. Vom Fass sells high quality oils, vinegars and spice and allows guests to taste before they purchase. The store’s owners, Sundaresh Ramanathan and Anyta Sundaresh, assist guests in combining different oils and vinegars based on the customer’s taste preferences to create a truly unique mix.
Summer Indulgence kicked off with a Pizza for Pops tasting event on Father’s Day. Pizza was provided by Passione Pain Wood Oven Pizza and Bread in Fishers, and each pizza was created with traditional ingredients and enhanced by Vom Fass products.
On June 27, the store will host a summer barbecue event. The Ville Restaurant (101 10th St., Noblesville) will provide pulled pork, barbecue chicken, grilled vegetables and summer salads, all designed to highlight Vom Fass’ oils and vinegars.
On June 28, ceviche will be highlighted. The seafood dish is popular in Central and South America and is gaining popularity in the U.S. Raw seafood is cured in citric acids and complimented with spices.
Summer mocktails, non-alcholic drinks, will be the focus of their event on July 11. Vom Fass will highlight their unique vinegars to create the perfect summer drink.
Their July 12 event will focus on brunch and bubbles. Guests will be able to munch on “brunchables” and learn how to pair them with refreshing drinks.
Oil and Vinegar 101 will close out Summer Indulgence. Guests will learn about the Medittearanean diet, how oils and vinegars can play a role in a healthy lifestyle and how to use them on a higher level.
“Most people don’t realize how to use oils and vinegars. They only think of salad dressings but there is a whole lot more,” Ramanathan said.
There is no cost to attend the events with the exception of Oil and Vinegar 101. Tickets are $15 for one or two for $20. Guests are encouraged to register online prior to arrival. For more information visit htc.vomfassusa.com.
