Carmel Symphony Orchestra announces 35th Annual Young Artist Competition

The Carmel Symphony Orchestra (CSO) announces the 35th Annual CSO Young Artist Competition, sponsored by the Steinway Piano Gallery (Clay Terrace, Carmel) and the CSO League. The winner will be featured at the Carmel Symphony Orchestra’s Family Fun! concert on Jan. 31, 2016 in the Palladium. The winner also receives a $1,000 cash award. The First Runner-Up will receive $750 and Second Runner-Up receives $500.

The CSO Young Artist Competition encourages young musicians from Indiana to compete with peers at the highest level of artistic excellence.

Eligibility requirements include students up to and including Grade 12. Residency eligibility has been expanded to the entire state beginning with this year’s competition.

Entry forms with further information and requirements are available at Meridian Music School (845 Tech Center, Carmel), the Carmel-Clay Public Library (55 Fourth Avenue SE, across from Carmel High School), or via the Carmel Symphony Orchestra’s website at CarmelSymphony.org. Completed materials must be postmarked by Monday, Nov. 9. Finalists will be announced via email on Monday, Nov. 23.
