Carmel Clay Parks and Recreation received the 2015 Barb King Environmental Stewardship Award from the National Recreation and Park Association at a special ceremony during the NRPA annual conferences. CCPR is only the seventh parks and recreation agency to win the national honor. CCPR was recognized for planning and constructing environmentally sustainable parks and facilities, implementing environmentally sensitive maintenance practices and offering an extensive array of nature-focused programs for youth and adults alike.
