Market District now open in Carmel

Grand opening activities highlighted by in-store appearance  from Indianapolis native Marc Summers, Food Network host and producer, on Oct. 7

Market District and GetGo Cafe + Market joined the Hoosier state’s food scene on Oct. 7 as retailer Giant Eagle, Inc. welcomed customers to the two new Carmel locations for the first time.

At 11505 N. Illinois Street, the 120,000-square-foot Carmel Market District offers a culinary, dining and shopping experience unique to Indiana. The store features an array of gourmet prepared foods, a sweets shop with hand-dipped chocolate novelties and other confections, an artisan cheese shop, a chef-demonstration kitchen, an expanded assortment of international foods, a bulk food section and more.

Part of the new Market District in Carmel is the new GetGo Cafe + Market, located near the Market District at 11545 N. Illinois Street. The 24-hour GetGo offers a wide ranging menu of made-fresh-to-order foods including subs, burgers, breakfast sandwiches and more, available at any time, day or night. Also available is a smoothie & espresso bar, including lattes, mochas, iced coffees, espressos and more.

“We are ecstatic to open our doors in Indiana and immerse ourselves in this incredible community,” stated Giant Eagle, Inc. CEO Laura Karet. “Our Carmel Team Members have been training for months, and are prepared to bring our customers the freshest and most flavorful foods. Whether you’re looking for exotic game meats and produce from across the globe or you want to order a sub made exactly the way you want it, Market District and GetGo offer the most delicious foods to satisfy every palate.”
