Zionsville robotics teams advance to state Lego League competition

The Zionsville First Lego League Robotics Club recently competed in the Kokomo “City of Firsts” Robotics Tournament, with four of the five Zionsville teams earning a spot in the state championships to be held Dec. 12 in Fort Wayne.

Teams that are advancing are GirlBotz 2.0, which earned first place in the robot game and claimed the overall tournament championship; team 6SySTEM, which earned first place in the Core Values competition; team Goat Bots, which demonstrated the most innovative solution to the Trash Trek project; and team Techno Tyrants, which finished fourth in the robot game.

Also competing in the tournament was team Robo Raptors, which finished third in the robot game but just missed qualifying for the state competition.
