As you know, Giving Tuesday is coming up .  It’s a big day for Janus Developmental Services, Inc.  The donations made on that day will play an important role in creating more stories like this one:

Jack came to Janus after completing high school.  Jack is a bright, detail oriented individual who has overcome many personal obstacles since he joined our Work Experience program.  Jack started working part time, but wanted to work full time.  At first Jack struggled with staying focused and on target for the full day.  Because of a well trained, dedicated staff and Jack’s determined attitude, Jack is now able to stay focused, take direction from staff with a positive attitude and work full time.

Jack is a compassionate young man who is always willing to assist his co-workers if they are having difficulties.  He is proud of his accomplishments.

Jack is able to work on a variety of assignments and has a high productivity rate.  As Jack continues to grow in his skills, his hope is he will be able to move into the community to work.

It is only through your generosity that stories like this happen.  Giving means different things to different people.  Some people can donate time, others stock options or a used vehicle or perhaps the unused balance on a gift card.

On Giving Tuesday (and every day!) we will be able to accept both cash and non-cash donations.  That means you can take what you have and turn it into something that makes a difference.

Jim Dandy Restaurant in Noblesville is going to donate a portion of food sales to Janus on Giving Tuesday.  We appreciate their kindness and generosity. On Tuesday, stop by Jim Dandy’s and have some of their great chicken and benefit Janus at the same time!
