The Town of Whitestown held an inaugural Martin Luther King Day celebration on Jan. 18. The event included the showing of King’s “I Have a Dream” speech, a trivia contest and collection of donations for a food pantry. Whitestown officials said the event was part of a push to promote diversity programs throughout the year. The town’s proposed Diversity Committee is expected to also work to bring awareness and recognition to Juneteenth and Pride Events. (Photos by Theresa Skutt)
