“Blooming Life was born with the community. It is the foundation of why we’re here,” said co-founder Lily Kessler of the yoga studio she created one year ago. More than 60 people came to the birthday yoga class celebrating the one-year anniversary of Blooming Life Yoga while simultaneously raising funds for Indy Yoga Movement.

“When people come in the door, I feel the energy in here,” Kessler said. Throughout the month, yogis are encouraged to express their love and support for the teachers by writing notes of appreciation on hearts posted in the room.

Since first opening her doors, “so much has happened so far,” Kessler said. Her goal for the next year is to continue the increasing focus on the yoga school and to add “creative changes that will let us bring the authentic flavor of yoga into the community.”

Following the celebratory class, treats from Liberation Roasters and Moody’s were served.
