Fishers-based Bluebridge, provider of mobile apps for businesses, has acquired Cadence Consulting, a human resources and employee management consulting firm.

Through the acquisition, employee engagement expert Todd Richardson will join the Bluebridge management team as its chief people officer.

“Todd has truly dedicated his life to building strong company cultures and solving the employee engagement puzzle,” Santiago Jaramillo, CEO and founder of Bluebridge, said. “His experience growing and implementing employee engagement best practices across thousands of businesses is invaluable for the future success of Bluebridge.”

Richardson was formerly vice president of administration at ExactTarget, which was acquired by Salesforce for $2.5 billion in 2013. Under his leadership, the company grew from 200 to 3,000 employees and was recognized for its company culture and employee engagement strategies.

Through its acquisition of Cadence Consulting, Bluebridge will gain nationwide network partners and contractual reseller relationships with former Cadence Consulting customers. Partners will sell Bluebridge’s employee engagement services to their clients and Richardson will offer his employee engagement expertise and consulting services to Bluebridge’s newest customers.

“We spend one-third or more of our daily lives working, and I believe it’s our duty as business leaders and owners to provide an environment where all employees can find fulfillment,” Richardson said. “I’m thrilled to join and support the Bluebridge team as we grow and expand our own product line to offer an employee engagement solution that manifests strong company culture for companies of all sizes across all industries.”
