The February Market District Teacher of the Month winner is Lisa Crist, a fifth-grade teacher at Westfield Intermediate School. Student Libby Spinner nominated her. As a reward, Libby won a pizza party for her class, and Crist received a $50 gift card for Market District, the Teacher of the Month sponsor.

Here is Libby’s winning essay:

Dear Current Staff:

I would like to nominate Mrs. Lisa Crist for the Market District Teacher of the Month.

Mrs. Crist is an extraordinary language arts teacher. Her teaching skills are phenomenal. If there is any confusion she will always go over it with you to make sure you understand. Mrs. Crist always has a joke up her sleeve ready to make the whole class laugh their smart heads off. She makes teaching so fun; when we walk into her classroom every day we have a brain catcher paper to try and figure out.  The whole class enjoys it very much. Mrs. Crist always has nice, big smile on her face that never gets old and never will. Mrs. Crist is an unforgettable teacher that deserves to win Teacher of the Month.

Sincerely,

Libby Spinner
