Firefighters from Zionsville, Whitestown and Lebanon are participating in joint training exercises during the evening hours of March 21, 22 and 23 at the Boone County Firefighter Training Facility. The exercises take place during the evening in a live-fire and low light environment, which restricts visibility and movement. The exercises involve simulating the rescue of a firefighter who has fallen through a floor and into a basement. The departments have adopted the same operational policies for this and other types of events which allow for smooth operations involving personnel from multiple departments.
