CIF-COM-0412- HCLA Meet Your Leader

Kimberly J. Nealon, HCLA Class of 2010

Hometown: Anderson

Lives: Anderson

Works: Fishers

Family: Husband Ryan; children Sarah, 23, Kelly, 21, and Garrett, 16.

Career: Nealon has held many roles in her 27 years as a registered nurse at St.Vincent. She is currently Chief Nursing Officer at St.Vincent Fishers Hospital.

Nice to know: “I love being outside. Golf, walks, gardening, even yardwork. Anything involving fresh air.”

Biggest HCLA takeaway: “For me, it was just an opportunity to absorb: facts, friends, data and the gift of time. I learned so much that wasn’t specifically for my role but just for me. So I could be aware of community gifts, challenges and resources.”

Favorite HCLA “field trip:” “Beck’s for sure! Mr. Beck is the perfect example of servant leadership. Caring for those who you work with and treating them with utmost respect brings value and productivity to any business.”

What impact has HCLA made on the community? “HCLA makes an impact on each individual that participates simply by making you aware. The relationships that you form are priceless but the awareness of community needs stay with you longer than the email addresses. You will never view Hamilton County the same.”

What is your vision for the future of Hamilton Co.? “That it is a community of respect.  That people stop and take time to know neighbors and kids have time for a family dinner. We all need to slow down and be thoughtful and invest in others.”

Favorite Hamilton Co. amenity: “I love ice skating at Fishers’ Forum.  Camping at White River Campground and … Conner Prairie.”
