The City of Noblesville has announced the tentative schedule to address road infrastructure changes that will be made to Ninth and Logan streets in downtown Noblesville in the coming weeks. Details of the construction work include:

Saturday, April 23 – Curb repair at the alley approach on Ninth Street between Logan and Clinton streets. The City of Noblesville parking lot No. 4 and the west entrance to Key Bank’s parking lot will be closed Saturday and Sunday, April 23 and 24. Each will reopen by 7:30 a.m. Monday, April 25. The Clinton Street entrance to Key Bank’s parking lot will remain open.

Wednesday, April 27 through Friday, April 29 – Milling and resurfacing of Ninth Street from Maple to Clinton streets and Logan Street from the Eighth Street intersection to the 10th Street intersection will take place. Work on Ninth Street will not include Conner Street, which was resurfaced in 2014. Weather permitting, the work will be conducted from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. to avoid causing parking issues downtown during the day. Parking on Ninth Street will be available Friday night. E&B will post “No Parking” signs in areas of work Monday, April 25.

“We are trying to be cognizant of our downtown businesses and restaurants and work with them so road construction will take place during off hours. This project is a holdover from last year and will primarily utilize funds left over from last year’s budget and contract,” said City Engineer John Beery. “Roadwork is taking place this month in preparation of the State of Indiana’s signal project on Conner Street in Downtown Noblesville. The city will follow that with our own signal update on Logan Street. Each project will take place this summer.”

Logan and Ninth streets were last resurfaced in 2004. By combining the projects, the city says it is attempting to create as minimal a disturbance as possible to the public.
