Where’s Amy enjoyed the VIP Tea Party with special guests and cast members from the Central Indiana Dance Ensemble before their production of “Alice in Wonderland” at Civic Theatre. The room was decorated beautifully with colorful tables, place settings and a red carpet. Attendees of the party ate cupcakes and sweets by Cahill Bakes of Fishers and delicious traditional finger sandwiches. It was so fun to see the children who attended cheer with glee as they had the opportunity to meet Alice and her cast members who came dressed and ready to entertain before the show. I loved catching up with Artistic Director and CIDE Owner Suzann DeLay who was proud of her students and the ensemble’s mission is to educate, inspire and perform. That is exactly what they did as I sat an awe at the brilliant performance of “Alice in Wonderland.” Everything from the dancing, acting, music, sets and costumes was perfect. Every single character came to life, the dancing was exceptional and indeed like Alice, the CIDE’s magical production left the audience wondering if it was just a dream or a real-life adventure. Where’s Amy gives an official Mad Hatter hats off to Alice and her gang and urges everyone not to be late for the next important CIDE date. For more, visit cidedance.org.
