When The Warehouse closed Jan. 24, many ticket holders for upcoming events and previously canceled concerts at the Carmel music venue were at a loss on how to get their money back.

Corey Elliot, press secretary for Indiana Attorney General Curtis Hill, said there is one main option if a business won’t issue a refund.

Elliot said if the consumers paid by a credit card, they should dispute the charge.

“It provides protection so if a business fails to provide the goods for the consumer paid, the consumer has the legal right to dispute the charge, to receive a credit back to his or her credit card,” Elliot said.

Elliot said if the credit card company does not issue a refund, a complaint can be filed  the Indiana Attorney General’s office at indianaattorneygeneral.secure.force.com/ConsumerComplaintForm.

Elliot said additional information is provided through he Federal Trade Commission at consumer.ftc.gov/articles/0219-disputing-credit-card-charges.
