County places ‘high water’ signs after flooding

The Hamilton County Highway Dept., in conjunction with the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office and Hamilton County Emergency Management, has placed signs throughout the county in places what have flooded roadways or has the potential to do so.

On May 4, the county issued a yellow-level travel advisory cautioning drivers to take extra precaution when traveling on some roads throughout the county. Rainy conditions are expected to continue through May 6.

Here is an updated list of where “high water” signs have been placed:

146th Street and Shelborne Road

JACKSON TOWNSHIP

241st Street between Overdorf Road and Fall Road

266th Street west of Devaney Road

266th Street east of Ernest Road

Crooked Creek Road between 266th Street and 281st Street

NOBLESVILLE TOWNSHIP

Riverwood Drive

WAYNE TOWNSHIP

196th Street between Creek Road and Victory Chapel Road

Durbin Road between Ind. 32 and Middletown Road

Prairie Baptist Road between Ind. 38 and 176th Street

Promise Road at 181st Street

WHITE RIVER TOWNSHIP
