The LIDS Foundation, a charitable organization and the philanthropic support arm of Zionsville-based LIDS Sports Group, recently named its 2017 Tip the Hat Award grant recipients. The grants support nonprofits that promote active and healthy lifestyles as well as leadership and growth opportunities for youth. Winners were: First place, Nine13sports of Indianapolis, $125,000; second place, Our Military Kids of McLean Va., $75,000; third place, Girls on the Run International of Charlotte, N.C., $50,000; Project Fit America of Sonoma, Calif., $25,000; and PlaySmart of St. Petersburg, Fla., $25,000.
