Westfield Advisory Plan Commission holds public hearing on mini-golf course

The Westfield Advisory Plan Commission met May 15. The next APC meeting is scheduled for 7 p.m. June 5 at city hall, 130 Penn St. For more, visit westfield.in.gov.

What happened: The APC held a public meeting on the new Oak Ridge Pointe Planned Unit Development.

What it means: The development is proposed by Pyramid Architecture & Engineers and would sit east of U.S 31 near the Ind. 32 overlay. It would allow for a restaurant and miniature golf course. No community members commented on the proposal. The commission sent the PUD with a positive recommendation to the city council unanimously.

 

What happened: At a prior city council meeting, change of zoning for Field Brewing was unanimously approved. Field Brewing returned to the APC to request a detailed development plan review for the new 5,500-square-foot brewery.

What it means: The project will sit on .625 acres of the southeast corner of Ind. 32 and Cherry Street. It will feature a brewery, restaurant and possibly a distillery. A new detailed development plan review moved forward unanimously.

 

What happened: The APC forwarded Haworth Business Park to council with a positive recommendation following a zoning request.

What it means: The business park will encompass 37 acres on the southeast corner of 169th Street and Oak Ridge Road. Commissioners sent the proposal to the council with unanimous positive consent. A new zoning request changes the park from Agriculture/Single Family Rural District to Business (PUD) District

What happened: APC sent a request for a change of zoning at Dartown Crossing Planned Unit Development to council with a positive recommendation

What it means: The development is proposed by Edge Rock Development and would sit on 39 acres at the northwest corner of Ind. 32 and Dartown Road. A new request would allow industrial projects to begin. A new gas station is tentatvively planned.
