Elections board has ‘no issue’ with Traylor move

On June 19, the Boone County Elections Board met to determine if Zionsville Town Council member Bryan Traylor can temporarily move out of the district he represents.

This comes after Traylor asked if it was permissible for he and his family to move to a temporary residence outside of District 1 and retain his elected office while his new home, in District 1, is under construction.

According to Boone County Clerk Jessica Fouts, the group met and decided his intent is to move temporarily out of the district for a short period and then immediately return.

“Based on that we have no issue with the move,” stated Fouts. “Mr. Traylor isn’t even certain that he will need to move so he was just being prepared. If Mr. Traylor would’ve been a candidate during the move statue clearly states that’s not allowable. Since he’s not a candidate it leaves room for our input.”
