“It is the great moment of everyone in Zionsville coming back together before school starts,” said Phillips, executive director for the Zionsville Chamber of Commerce, which sponsors the event on Main Street.

Music will be performed by party band The Bishops beginning at 7 p.m. Visitors are encouraged to dance on Main Street, which will be closed to traffic.

Beer and wine and food from approximately 10 vendor,s including locals El Toro and Greeks Pizzeria, will be available for purchase. A children’s area will have bounce houses, activities and snacks.

In past years, Phillips has noticed long lines for ticket sales and encourages attendees to purchase tickets through presale options.

Individual adult tickets for $10 are available until the day before the event at the chamber office, Cobblestone or Akard True Value Hardware. They also are available through the day of the event at zionsvillechamber.org. Tickets for children 10 and under are $5.

A new family ticket package, $40 for up to eight family members, are also available for early purcchase.

“Don’t be waiting in a line with your family,” Phillips said. “Go have fun.”

Entrances will be at the intersections of Main Street and Pine and Cedar streets.

For those wishing to share their experience digitally, Snapchat geofilters customized for Street Dance will be live that evening. Social media also will be utilized for updates relating to weather or other issues.

“We’d love for people to use social media to show their pride in Zionsville,” Phillips said.

Phillips plans to assess the event to find ways to make it more exciting in the future.

“Sometimes it’s just nice to freshen things up,” she said.
