Body of missing man found near Eagle Creek in Zionsville

Update:

After a multi-agency search, police discovered the body of a man reported missing just south of Eagle Creek in Zionsville at 3:20 p.m. Aug. 29.

Ryan Weisberger, 29, had been reported missing at approximately 2 p.m. Aug. 28. Police said they believed he was in danger, may have been disoriented and in need of medical assistance. They issued a silver alert at approximately 11 p.m. Aug. 28.

Police used K-9 tracking, infrared technology, overhead drone support and saturation foot patrols in an attempt to locate Weisberger.

The cause of death is still under investigation by the Zionsville Police Dept. and Boone County Coroner’s Office.


The Zionsville Police Dept. is investigating the disappearance of 29-year-old Ryan Weisberger.

Weisberger is a white male, 6 feet 3 inches tall, 190 pounds, with brown hair and hazel eyes.  He was last seen at 2 p.m. Aug. 28 in Zionsville and is believed to be in danger.

He was last seen wearing a green hat with a white bill, black and white plaid button up shirt, and gray shorts.  He may be disoriented and require medical assistance.
