Yankee Air Museum to dispatch “Yankee Lady”

On Oct. 5, a Boeing B-17G called “Yankee Lady” will be dispatched to Indianapolis Metropolitan Airport in Fishers as part of the 306th Bomb Group Historical Association reunion.

Yankee Lady will arrive at approximately 2:30 p.m. Oct. 5 and operate from Tom Wood Aviation, 9913 Willowview Rd. The B-17 crew will offer air adventure rides and tours. The first rides will be scheduled beginning at 5 p.m. Oct. 6. Yankee Lady will fly World War II B-17 airmen the morning of Oct. 7.

An air adventure tour is approximately 45 minutes with 25 minutes of flight time and costs $450. To book a flight, visit yankeeairmuseum.org. Self-guided ground tours are $8 for adults and $3 for kids ages 6 to 15. Admission for kids younger than 6 years old is free.
