Snapshot: Jog-a-thon benefits ZCS elementary schools

More than 400 students at Eagle Elementary ran along a dirt track while parents tracked their laps, starting with a pace lap led by the Eagle mascot and Principal Andrew Foreman.

Teachers MaryKate Rowan and Laura Kauffman wore their running tutus to make the day more fun for kindergartners like Gemma Burton and Jameson Hinshaw.

It’s the last year of Jog-a-Thon for fourth graders like Sebastian Carbajal, Graham Wilson, Robert Fisher and Adam Alessandrini.

Sept. 27 was a perfect day for students at the five Zionsville Community Schools elementary schools to get some exercise. The seventh annual Jog-a-thon raised funds for the schools’ Parent Teacher Organizations. (Photos by Heather Lusk)
