During the town hall demolition Zionsville Mayor Tim Haak stepped into an excavator for a photo. “Some people might be sentimental,” said Haak, who stated that he was glad to see the building demolished. The demolition is expected to be completed by Nov. 10. A road dissecting the property will be constructed soon if weather cooperates. The western section of the property is slated for development with the town anticipating proposals in the next few months. The use of the eastern section of the property is to be determined. Members of Zionsville United Methodist Church, which built the property in 1963, said their goodbyes earlier in the week. “They understood it was time to go, too,” Haak said.
