CIZ COM 0102 DeMars Eagle

Evan DeMars of Zionsville’s Boy Scout Troop 804 joins Morning Dove Therapeutic Riding Center Executive Director Elizabeth Coit at a picnic table with disability access he built for the nonprofit for his Eagle Scout project. DeMars, son of Dave and Cathy DeMars, recently attained the rank of Eagle Scout, the highest advancement in Scouting. To earn the rank, a Scout must fulfill requirements in the areas of leadership, service and outdoor skills, culminating in a project benefiting the community. Since Troop 804’s inception in 2004, 56 boys have attained the rank of Eagle Scout, representing approximately 24 percent of participants. Nationally, fewer than 2 percent of all Scouts attain the Eagle rank. For more, visit ZionsvilleTroop804.org.
