A Carmel man died Feb. 25 after being involved in a two-vehicle accident on 96th Street.

Police said Robert “Bobby” Carlow, 29, of Carmel was driving eastbound at 8:44 p.m. in a 2004 Saturn Vue on 96th Street near Wild Cherry Lane when he collided with a 2006 Kia Sportage also heading eastbound driven by Trina Price, 53, of Indianapolis.

Investigators believe the Saturn was traveling at a high rate of speed when it rear-ended the Kia, traveled across the roadway and struck a large tree on the north side of 96th Street.

Carlow was pronounced dead at the scene. Price was transported to St. Vincent hospital with minor injuries.

The accident is still under investigation.
