“We are a national nonprofit that is focused on strengthening the pathways between education and employment,” said Julie Goodman, vice president of marketing and communications. “We do this through strategic philanthropy. We are still a large grant-making organization. We work with other nonprofits and associations and employers all working together to address the disconnect that exists between education and employment.”

Strada owns several affiliated mission-drive companies. Roth will work to assist those companies in fulfilling their shared goals.

“We are considered a mission-supporting organization,” Roth said. “We’re providing services to the companies we own to allow them to focus on their mission and less time on administrative tasks. In addition, my team is helping to provide legal, compliance and risk-management services so they don’t have to focus on that themselves and they can focus more on simply fulfilling their mission that aligns with Strada’s mission.”

Roth had previously been involved with programs at Butler University, creating new and innovative ways to improve the student education experience.

“When they approached me about taking this position it was a no-brainer,” Roth said. “It was incredibly intriguing and interesting. The ability to get in on the ground floor of an organization that might have that much impact was really interesting to me.”

Her goals for her first year at Strada will focus on putting teams and programs in place.
