A wine shop and small-plates restaurant will join Fortville’s Main Street. It plans to open March 20.
Owner Steve Boulanger said 305 Wine Garage, 305 Main St., Suite A, will offer something a different from what Fortville already features.
The food menu will be limited because Boulanger said he doesn’t want to take away from the other restaurants in downtown Fortville. Items such as soups, flatbreads, sandwiches, salads and appetizers will be offered. Desserts may be available in the future.
To start, an assortment of 250 wines will be sold by the bottle. The majority will cost $20 or less. Approximately 50 of will cost more than $20.
Boulanger will sell wine and beer by the glass, and he said he may consider selling packaged beer in the future. The bar is available for customers ages 21 and older.
“It adds something different to the town,” he said.
305 Wine Garage will be open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesdays through Thursdays and 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays. It will be closed Sundays and Mondays.
