The Boone County Chamber of Commerce will host a revamped Home and Business Expo April 19-21 at the Boone County Fairgrounds. The event will include more than 60 different exhibitors, provide family friendly activities, offer home improvement demonstrations and feature HGTV stars from the show “Good Bones.”
“In the past it was a home and garden show,” said Diane Schultz, Boone County Chamber of Commerce executive director. “As a chamber, we have renamed it to a home and business expo to highlight our chamber members, no matter what business they provide. The exhibitors will have booths, and they will be highlighting their products and services.”
Family friendly activities include Kids’ Night April 19 with inflatables, face painting and balloon art followed by the 64th annual Lebanon Kiwanis Club’s Pancake Supper. April 20 will include a performance by Darlington Road and a Corkscrew and Brew event that will showcase local breweries, wineries, restaurants and catering companies. On April 21, WIBC 93.1FM “Home and Garden Show” personalities Pat Sullivan and Denny Smith will broadcast live. Attendees also can hear from HGTV personalities discussing rehabbing old homes that day.
“We are very excited to have the two ladies from ‘Two Chicks and a Hammer’ from the HGTV show ‘Good Bones,’” Schultz said. “They’re currently filming in downtown Indianapolis. We’re excited to hear their story about rehabbing homes and the benefits of economic development to those communities where those homes are being rehabbed.”
Hours are 4 to 8 p.m. April 19 and 20 and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 21. The expo is free. Food and beverages will be available for purchase. To learn more, visit BooneChamberExpo.org.
