When Dr. Jenny Neese finished dental school, her Zionsville family and friends told her they’d be happy to be her patient. But she wasn’t always conveniently located.

That will change April 23 when she opens her dental practice in Anson.

“I knew I’d have a little bit of a patient draw,” Neese said of choosing the Whitestown area for her new practice. “All the pieces lined up nicely for this to happen.”

Neese, a 2003 graduate of Zionsville Community High School, initially tried to purchase a practice from another dentist, but after four years decided to establish her own.

“I finally decided to just take my life into my own hands and make this happen for myself,” she said.

Neese did a lot of research by speaking with other dentists and gained confidence after completing an MBA program. The process gave her an appreciation for the work and expense that goes into creating a business from the ground up.

“You don’t realize how much effort and energy had to be put in to be able to get just to a working stage,” Neese said.

The office at the corner of Whitestown Parkway and Main Street is part of new construction, which has helped for small but important details like ensuring plumbing and nitrious oxide are available in each room.

“There’s a lot of pieces of the puzzle that go into it,” Neese said.

Patient privacy was important to Neese when designing the office. She said her goal is to be “patient focused.”

The practice will be open Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. An open house is planned for May 19 with details on the Jenny Neese Family Dentistry Facebook page.
