More than 250 pounds of prescription drugs were collected during a drug take-back program April 18 at Zionsville Community High School initiated by Miss Fall Festival Claire Nieshalla. State Rep. Donna Schaibley said she was pleased that these drugs will be kept off the street. “It’s so impressive what the young people have done by organizing this,” she said. “It absolutely makes a great impact on the community.” Local police, including Zionsville Police Chief Robert Knox, were present throughout the day to provide support and assist with disposal of the medications.
