Targeted Career Services opens in Carmel to help clients find best career fit

By Sara Baldwin

Suzanne Boatright has a passion for helping people find their passion, and she has opened an office in Carmel to do just that.

Targeted Career Solutions recently opened at 718 Adams St. The company has been in existence since 2015 under the leadership of Boatright, a Carmel resident who has more than 25 years of human resources experience. She is a Strong Interest Inventory Practitioner and partners with ADVISA, a certified Predictive Index partner.

Utilizing the Predictive Index Assessment and Strong Interest Inventory, Targeted Career Solutions provides a thorough assessment process for each client to determine areas of interest so they can focus on related careers.

“The PI looks at natural tendencies and how you are wired,” Boatright said. “I marry the PI and Strong Interest Inventory to help people identify the kind of environment they will thrive in.”

After clients complete assessments, they meet with a consultant for at least one hour to review the results of both tests, make observations and give helpful tips.

“The results session is a great opportunity for us to see where your interests lie,” Boatright said. “Then we have another session after that where we get together a game plan.”

She then helps the client set up informational interviews with professionals in areas they scored high in as well as research colleges that may have good programs for them.

Many of Boatright’s clients are high school students preparing for college, but she also serves second career clients or those looking for a new direction in their career. For those clients, she looks at their resume, cover letter and LinkedIn site and helps them get a game plan for their job search.

“I’m also their accountability and an ongoing resource,” Boatright said. “Sometimes, people just need a partner. I’m there to help guide them.”

Targeted Career Solutions is open Monday through Friday with appointments available during the day, after school and evenings. For more, visit
