When it’s open: Monday-Thursday 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., Friday and Saturday 11 a.m. to 1 a.m., Sunday noon to midnight.
Mark’s take: Picture this: You’re in the mood for something different, somewhere different. That somewhere would be the Barley Island Brewing Company. Casual vibe, check. Relaxed atmosphere, check. Appetizers, salads, wraps, sandwiches, burgers and much more, check. This pub has it all. And don’t forget, this is a brewing company. And be sure to check out the live music schedule.
What to get: The grilled Cuban pork sandwich with pulled pork, ham and spicy mustard dressing is definitely filling, but you may find yourself wanting to take another one home. Yes, it’s that good. As for the beverage, I took a cue from one of my favorite bands, The Who: I tried a Magic Bus.It was magic.
What’s the cost: Entrees run $7 to $15.
