Editor,
In response to the recent letter to the editor (published Dec. 11) from an atheist, I believe the mayor’s promotion of the National Day of Prayer was not against diversity but was simply honoring the Judeo-Christian foundation upon which our country was established.
As a representative of our government, I believe he has a responsibility to promote activities that remind us of that which helped make this nation what it is today — the land of the free and the home of the brave.
