One thing on which Ms. Christina Downey (letter to the editor published July 30) and I agree is that voting for a racist is not good for our nation.
That’s why so many Americans voted against Barry Obama. I am 71 and have never seen a more racist president. He set race relations back decades during his tenure. Joe Biden, the likely Democrat nominee, has also proven he is a racist on multiple occasions for years.
President Trump, on the other hand, has overseen the best job growth, new business startups and lowest unemployment ever for black Americans. That is part of the reason he will be re-elected in 2020.
Reliable studies show he is winning over many Democrats who are opposed to their party moving further and further left toward socialism. They keep promising to provide free college, Medicare for all, student loan forgiveness, etc., but most voters know taxpayers, not the government, will have to pay for all of those giveaways.
