“This will be the first year that the city is hosting the Grand Fall Festival,” Community Events Coordinator Alexa Lingg said. “However, it has been hosted by the Westfield Youth Assistance Program for the past nine years. It’s an event focused on celebrating family and community with fall fun that also benefits a local organization.”

Families can enjoy the cooler temperatures while participating in traditional fall activities.

“Fall-specific activities will include wagon rides and fire pits, which will also be available for s’mores roasting,” Lingg said. “We will provide s’mores packs while supplies last. Wagon rides will cost $2 per person. Each ride will be around 10 to 15 minutes long and will go from 3 to 7 p.m. with a slight half-hour break in the middle.”

Participants can play games meant to engage with other members of the community.

“We will have a pumpkin ring toss, cornhole, giant Jenga and giant Connect 4,” Lingg said.

More than 30 vendors will be on-site.

“There are a variety of retail, community, information and food booths. People can expect to find anything from boutique items, décor and kettle corn,” Lingg said.

In addition, a DJ,  inflatables, glitter tattoo artists, a balloon twister and a photo station will be part of the event.

“Westfield Youth Assistance Program has a growing need for mentors, so the hope is to raise awareness and pull in potential resources,” Lingg said. “A portion of the proceeds from this event will also go to benefit the program.”
