After responding to a report of an abandoned dog in a Lawrence neighborhood, Lawrence Police Dept. officer Stuart Bishop forged an instant bond with the Husky mix. After unsuccessful attempts to locate the owner, Bishop adopted the dog and named him Rizzo after Chicago Cubs first baseman Anthony Rizzo. “Live PD” documented the event and shared it nationwide.
