Good Samaritan Network of Hamilton County will hold its sixth annual Hamilton County Festival of Trees at 6 p.m. Nov. 23 at the Bridgewater Club, 3535 E. 161st St. The event will fund GSN’s Holiday Assistance program, which provides unserved and underserved Hamilton County families with food, toys and clothing for the holidays.

“I just love what Good Samaritan does for our community, helping those in need,” Event Coordinator Kim Harden said. “There are families who may miss one week of work and won’t be able to pay their utility bills for that month or could become homeless. The need is really great in Hamilton County, and I don’t think people realize that.”

The Festival of Trees includes a dinner, keynote speaker and silent auction featuring custom-designed themed Christmas trees, wreaths and table centerpieces. One of the specialty items up for bid is “A Visit From Santa,” where the winner will experience a real-life scene as Santa places presents under the tree and enjoys his cookies and milk. Toy Making With Santa will be auctioned for children to participate in Santa’s toy shop. Last year, the auction raised more than $31,000.

A pre-event silent auction will feature custom-decorated Christmas trees through Nov. 23 at the Hamilton County Government and Judicial Building, 1 N. Eighth St. Winning bids will be determined at close of bidding Nov. 23.

Admission to the Festival of Trees is $75 per person. To register or become a sponsor, visit gsnlive.org/festival-of-trees.
