Westfield Young Life’s annual fundraising dinner, YL Night, is set to return March 9 with the goal of 100 percent member participation. Check-in begins at 6:30 p.m. and dinner begins at 7 p.m. at the IMMI Conference Center, 18880 N. East St.
“It’s our annual fundraising dinner, and it’s a completely free event for the community, but they need to RSVP,” Westfield Young Life Area Director Sarah Kjeldsen said. “The theme is ‘A Place at the Table.’”
Westfield Young Life is a mission aimed at introducing adolescents to Jesus Christ and helping them grow in their faith.
The event is catered by Keltie Domina and will include a program.
“There will be a program that highlights what God has been doing in the ministry over the last year and what’s to come,” Kjeldsen said. “We will have a program that will highlight students.”
Although the event doesn’t have a fundraising goal, it does want full member participation.
“We are looking for everybody to do something, whether that’s giving the cost of your meal or becoming a long-term supporter,” Kjeldsen said.
Westfield Young Life began in 2006, with the annual fundraising dinner starting in 2007.
“We always want this to be a free event because it’s our main fundraiser for the year, but also it is a way for us to invite people to see what God is doing and get excited to get involved in other ways as well,” Kjeldsen said.
