The Indiana State Dept. of Health today announced 614 additional Hoosiers have been diagnosed with COVID-19, bringing to 26,655 the total number of Indiana residents known to have the new coronavirus following corrections to yesterday’s total.
Just over 39 percent of ICU beds and 80 percent of ventilators were available as of Friday.
A total of 1,550 Hoosiers have died of COVID-19, an increase of 42 over the previous day. Another 141 probable deaths have been reported based on clinical diagnoses in patients for whom no positive test is on record. Deaths are reported based on when data is received by the ISDH and occurred over multiple days.
To date, 165,448 tests have been reported to the ISDH, up from 160,239 on Thursday.
