Zotec Partners, which offers revenue cycle management solutions for health care providers, has joined forces with the Indiana State Dept. of Health to facilitate COVID-19 testing across Indiana.

Headquartered in Carmel, Zotec is providing software that allows patients to access and answer questions about COVID-19 testing and use their mobile devices to schedule appointments with GPS location assistance, confirm demographic information and receive text updates.

In addition, Zotec is providing bar-coded labels with routing information for labs that facilitates communication between the ISDH and Indiana patients.

“It is a mobile-based scheduling and registration solution that eliminates manual entry, connects test sites with the labs and communicates test results to the patients,” said Zotec founder and CEO T. Scott Law, noting that the partnership came about after his company reached out to the state to offer help.

“We knew that our patient financial experience technology could be leveraged to deliver an efficient, automated process to impacted patients,” Law said. “We worked closely with the state and its lab facility to deliver.”

Indiana State Health Commissioner Kristina Box embraces the partnership.

“Zotec had a great vision to scale our COVID-19 testing and automate the registration and reporting for the large number of patients who need our assistance,” Box stated. “Using Zotec’s technology, we are hopeful that we can accelerate the process for all patients across Indiana.”

Zotec’s technology also is available for other states that want to ramp up COVID-19 testing. Founded in 1998, Zotec serves more than 17,000 physicians in all U.S. states.

“Zotec’s technology solution enables aggregated, consistent, real-time data collection,” Law said. “It’s easy to sign up and easy to manage. Patients are notified with their results in a fast, efficient manner.”
