We strongly support Charlie MacMillan for Hamilton County Commissioner District 2.
Charlie is a man of many accomplishments. He has tirelessly served the people of Hamilton County. Not only is he known as a master automotive technician; Charlie has served many community and non-profit organizations among them as
- A member is of the Indiana State Police Energy Response Team
- one of the seven members of the Hamilton County Plan Commission Comprehensive Plan Update Committee
- An airboat pilot removing thousands of pounds of trash during White River clean up events
- Chairman of the Hamilton County Board of Zoning Appeals South District
- Past President and board member of the board of directors of the Hamilton County Theatre Guild (Belfry Theatre)
When I was directing “1776: The Musical,” there were some difficult scenes to be staged. I asked Charlie, who was also serving as the Belfry Board President, if he would build the set – he graciously accepted! A few weeks later, one of the cast members bailed out. I knew Charlie had his hands full with the construction – but I was desperate and appealed to Charlie to take on the role. He agreed somewhat reluctantly. The set worked beautifully, and Charlie’s performance was top notch!
I believe one of Charlie’s biggest assets is his ability to get people and organizations to work together to improve our community.
