The Indianapolis GreekFest is the latest large community event to be canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The event was scheduled Aug. 28-29 at the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral in Carmel.
The event organizers released this statement on event Facebook page: “Over the past months, we have been working diligently to create an alternative to our annual Indy GreekFest. Our goal has been to ensure a safe environment for our volunteers and patrons while providing the opportunity to celebrate our faith and culture.  Unfortunately, it is not to be. Health and safety concerns are our overriding priority. Therefore, the decision has been made to cancel the 2020 GreekFest.”
